ARV's stolen as PE clinic vandalised

Vandals have caused extensive damage to the Gqeberha Clinic in Walmer Township, in Port Elizabeth.

Health MEC, Helen Sauls-August, says computers were destroyed and plumbing removed.

She also says fire extinguishers used to cause some of the damage while Anti-Retroviral Drugs were stolen.

Sauls-August says the destruction of health facilities is a set back in government’s efforts of bringing primary healthcare facilities within communities.

A case has been opened with the police.
