Arnold in fresh bid for bail based on new facts

The 55-year-old Arnold Terblanche who is accused of orchestrating the murder of his estranged wife, Vicki will launch yet another bail application in April.

This came out in court on Monday where Terblanche appeared briefly alongside his two co-accused, 33-year-old, Reinhardt Leach, and 24-year-old Dylan Cullis.

The Gqeberha businessman, who was denied bail in January, appealed the judgment in the city's High Court, where it was turned down.

Judge Glen Goosen's judgment said the State has a strong case against Terblanche with a reasonable likelihood of success.

Goosen added that it must be accepted that Terblanche faces a very real prospect of a lengthy jail sentence.

Terblanche will bring another bail application on what he says are new facts.

The matter was postponed to the 7th of April.

The body of 42-year-old Vicki was found buried in a shallow grave in Greenbushes in October 2021 just days after Leach, who was her boyfriend at the time, reported her missing.

Both Leach and Cullis abandoned their bail applications.
