Port Elizabeth police are searching for a one suspect following a business robbery inside the Cleary Park Shopping Centre earlier on Friday.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Alwin Labans says an armed man walked into the American Swiss jewellery store and threatened the 28 year-old manager - who was alone at the time.
Labans says the suspect took 12 rings valued at R55 000 and went straight to the taxi rank where he was approached by community members who tried to apprehend him.
The suspect threatened the people with a firearm, jumped into another taxi and fled.
