Armed robbery at Moffet on Main retail centre in PE

A group of armed robbers hit the Vodacom Cellphone store in the Moffet on Main retail centre in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, on Tuesday morning.

Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says five suspects entered the shop and threatened staff with knives.

They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and 32 cell phones.

Captain Labans told AlgoaFM News that no shots were fired and no-one was injured.
