Police in Port Elizabeth are looking for four suspects who robbed a Lewis store in Govan Mbeki avenue on Thursday morning.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says the men entered the store and one suspect who was armed, forced the manager and staff to the back of the store where they demanded money, phones and TV's.
He says whilst this was happening a G4 Security guard, who was unaware of the robbery in progress, entered the store.
Labans says the 38-year-old store manager alerted him as to what was going on and he pretended to leave the store.
The guard saw a suspect rushing towards him and fired a warning shot into the wall.
The four men then fled the scene in a bakkie with stolen flat-screen TV's.
No arrests have been made and the suspects are still at large.
