Approval for Splash Festival, just days before the event

Newly appointed muncipal Manager, Dr Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela says she has signed off this year's Splash Festival to the organisers -- just days before the start of the annual event in Port Elizabeth.

Splash takes place over the Easter weekend, from the 29th to the 31st of March.

Msengana-Ndlela says in the past, the Splash Festival has been marred by poor planning.

"It is important for the city to support the Splash Festival but in the past there has been poor planning and co-ordination between the stakeholders involved and the city. This year we will support this program but I hope to meet with the stakeholders so that we have a much more thorough systematic way in which we bring in some sustainability in events such as this" she said.
