Another suspect arrested for Jayde Panayioutou's murder

The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed the arrest of another suspect in connection with the murder of Riebeek College school teacher Jayde Panayiotou.The NPA's Tshepo Ndwalaza told AlgoaFM news on Monday morning that a suspect in his 30's had been arrested and was being held in custody.

AlgoaFM News has been informed by an official close to the case that the man was arrested in the Greenbushes area on Sunday and that he will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Tuesday.

The suspect, whose name is known to AlgoaFM News, was arrested after cellphone profiling placed him in the vicinity of the crime in April last year.

It is the same method that investigators used to catch one of the other murder accused, Sinethemba Nenembe.

AlgoaFM News was told that this latest arrest would not affect the trial of Christopher Panayiotou, Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Nenembe, who go on trial in the PE High Court in October for Jayde's murder.

The latest suspect is expected to be added to the trial as the 4th murder accused.
