The level of Nelson Mandela Bay’s main supply dams has shown another slight increase as they continue to profit from the good rains that fell in the main catchment area in the Langkloof earlier this month.
According to the latest figures released by the municipality on Monday morning, the Metro’s four main supply dams are currently at 22.46% of total combined capacity, that’s up from the previous reading of 21.62% taken last Wednesday.
The largest supply dam, the Kouga, is at 11.3% and the second-largest supply dam, the Impofu, is at 19.12%.
The Churchill Dam is looking healthy again at 68.09% and the Groendal Dam, which serves the Uitenhage area, is at 28.99%
