Learners and parents from the Cedarberg Primary School in Booysens Park, Port Elizabeth, are expected to hold a protest on Wednesday morning.
This is one of several recent protests at schools in the Metro's northern areas against the shortage of teachers at schools.
A spokesperson for the school's governing body says the school will be closed indefinitely from Wednesday until the Bhisho Education Department addresses the teacher shortages.
Last week parents and learners at Sanctor High School also took to the streets in protest against the shortages.
