Bethelsdorp detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 54-year-old man who went missing in Port Elizabeth, late last month.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says Quinton Plaatjies who hails from Somerset East, was living with friends for the last three months in Nysschen Street in Extension 29.
He was last seen on the 30th of October before his friends went away for two days. When they returned, they found all his belongings still at the house, they were, however, unable to get a hold of him and his car was also missing.
She says his car, a blue Ford EcoSport, was found abandoned about a week later, near Beer Shack in Beach Road. His whereabouts are still unknown.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police as soon as possible.
PE police are also still looking for the 55-year-old Adriaan Francois Scheepers who was reported missing on 30 September.
Scheepers left his rented flat in Sherwood, leaving all his personal belongings, including his scooter, which was his only mode of transport, behind.
