Another EC child rapist sentenced to life

A 51- year old Uitenhage man has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the Uitenhage Regional court for the brutal rape of a 5 year old girl.

Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart says Lekese Mqulwana was found guilty in March.

Swart says the accused did not receive bail and remained in custody throughout the duration of the case.

She says the attack took place at a residential home in Kamesh during May 2012.
