Police in Nelson Mandela Bay are investigating a case of murder following the fatal shooting of another e-hailing taxi driver in New Brighton.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police responded to a complaint of a shooting in front of a house in Skomolo Street on Thursday afternoon just after half-past-three.
On arrival, they found a light blue Datsun Go that collided with a boundary wall.
Colonel Naidu says a 38-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his head.
It’s alleged before the collision, three passengers were in the vehicle, which did not belong to the deceased.
The case is being investigated and no arrests have been made.
The name of the driver has not been released.
In February this year, another e-hailing driver was gunned down in Madala Street, also in New Brighton.
The 30-year-old Garrison Snayers was shot multiple times in a Suzuki that he used to drop off clients.
Three suspects were arrested for Snayers murder and have already appeared in court.
