Two men from Gqeberha have been arrested on a charge of murder after yet another missing woman was found in a shallow grave.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the body of 42-year-old Vicky Terblanche was found in the early hours of Saturday morning, buried in a shallow grave in an open veld in Greenbushes.
She says Terblanche's boyfriend and his friend have since been arrested for her murder.
Colonel Naidu says the victim was reported missing by her boyfriend on Thursday evening.
She says on the following day officers were called out to a house in a complex in 1st avenue in Mill Park as there was suspicion because the doors and garage doors of the house were wide open with nobody inside.
Colonel Naidu says police suspected something was amiss and roped in a forensic team.
She says while they were busy at the house the 32-year-old boyfriend arrived stating that he lived on the property.
Detectives recognised him as the same person who reported his girlfriend missing the previous day.
Colonel Naidu says they took him in for questioning and a further probe led them to a house in Burd Street in Newton Park where another 24-year-old man was detained for questioning.
She says after an intense investigation, detectives with the assistance of the K9 Rescue Unit found the body of Terblanche.
A post mortem will be done to determine the exact cause of her death.
Both men will appear in the Magistrates Court on Monday.
