ANC task team begins Eastern Cape election probe

The ANC task team investigating alleged election irregularities within the party will begin its work in the Eastern Cape on Thursday.

The task team was established by the ruling party to look into widespread allegations that the ANC's election lists had been tampered with.

The team is headed by dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, who has already completed its work in the eight other provinces.

Task team spokesperson, Mbulelo Musi, says Dlamini-Zuma will meet a range of people and structures that were involved in the list processes in Buffalo City, Amathole, OR Tambo, Nelson Mandela, Chris Hani, Alfred Nzo and Joe Gqabi regions.

A report will then be compiled for the ANC's national executive committee to action.
