ANC Secretary-General in East London for May Day rally

ANC Secretary-General, Gwede Mantashe will be handing over the Centenary Flame to the party's Provincial leadership in the Eastern Cape during a church service in East London on Tuesday.

Party spokesperson, Jackson Mthembu says the event will be attended by Alliance partners, Cosatu and the SACP.

He says following the hand-over ceremony, Mantashe, together with provincial ANC chairperson, Phumulo Masualle and the Provincial Chairperson of KwaZulu-Natal, Zweli Mkhize. will address the media.

Mthembu says Mantashe will address a May Day rally at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium later in the morning.
