The ANC in the Eastern Cape says its congress in the OR Tambo region started without any incidents on Saturday, and all issues have been resolved.
Provincial spokesperson, Mlibo Qoboshiane says the political report was tabled and the provincial chairman, Phumulo Masualle was expected to deliver a keynote address.
OR Tambo is the biggest region of the ANC in the Eastern Cape, but is marred with factionalism and parallel structures in branches, resulting in the numerous postponements of the conference.
