ANC in the Eastern Cape extends well wishes to Madiba

The ANC in the Eastern Cape will be dedicating its opening prayer session at the start of its 7th provincial conference to ailing former president Nelson Mandela.
Incumbent provincial secretary, Oscar Mabuyane, says religious leaders will open the conference in memory of Madiba at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University on Thursday.
"As a province we would really like to extend our warmest regards in ensuring that he recovers. We would like him even if he would hear about it, that we had a good and better conference here in the Eastern Cape"
Meanwhile, Mabuyane says its all systems go for the conference.
He says they currently sitting at around one thousand 229 voting delegates who will elect a new provincial leadership over the next few days.
Mabuyane says the conference is not just about electing a new leadership but should also focus on substantive issues.
"We really need to inspire confidence, we need our people to have hope when the ANC meets. We meet not only for members but also for a society at large" he said.
