The ANC in Nelson Mandela Bay says it feels undermined by the decision taken by the Black Caucus to appoint the UDM's Mongameli Bobani as the new head of the infrastructure department.
Bobani is set to replace the ANC’s Andile Lungisa who stepped down as the water and infrastructure mayoral head on Sunday.
Regional Task Team coordinator, Luyolo Nqakula says the ANC will never support a decision by the Black Caucus that doesn’t follow proper engagements and consultations within the coalition.
The ANC holds the majority of seats within the current coalition government.
RTT spokesperson JP Pretorius says the ANC will apply its mind to this new development before announcing a way forward.
