Port Elizabeth police say arrests are imminent following a violent brawl at an ANC meeting in Wells Estate in Port Elizabeth on Sunday afternoon
Video footage shows people being beaten with chairs and according to police people were assaulted and one person, identified as a branch leader assaulted and stabbed.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, says its alleged that about 30 people entered the meeting venue and allegedly assaulted those at the meeting with planks, knives and glass bottles.
Police received several complaints during the meeting.
Beetge says a charge of assault with the intent to do grievous body harm was laid at the Swartkops police station and an arrest is expected soon.
