A 36-year-old man from Gqeberha made his second appearance in the Magistrates Court on Monday where he is facing charges of exposing adults to witness lewd sexual acts, indecent exposure and crimen injuria.
The suspect, who cannot be named until he has pleaded, has been in custody since his arrest last week Thursday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police took on the case three months ago after they were approached by a private investigator and a reporter who asked them to help track the suspect on behalf of the victims.
She says the unit interviewed 25 victims, most of them, estate agents from across the country.
Colonel Naidu says it is alleged that the suspect would randomly Google the names of estate agents from across the country and as soon as he had their numbers, he would call them and talk "dirty" to them before performing lewd sexual acts while still on the video call.
The matter against the suspect was postponed until Tuesday.
The suspect, who is represented by Legal Aid, is expected to plead guilty on some of the charges against him.
