Humewood police are investigating a case of murder after an alleged robber was shot and killed late on Thursday night in Park Drive.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is alleged that at around 23.20, the driver of a white VW Polo was seated in his car in Park Drive when he was approached by two men.
When the driver refused to open his window, stones were thrown at it.
Colonel Naidu says it is further alleged that the driver got out of his car and started firing at the suspects.
A 31-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds while the other man ran off.
The driver of the VW Polo then drove off.
Colonel Naidu says the deceased was found lying in front of a black BMW which was driven by him before the incident.
Police are appealing to the driver of the VW Polo or anyone who may know the driver to contact the police.
They are also urging glass fitting companies to contact them should anyone come in to replace a window.
