Port Elizabeth police have arrested a 26-year-old man after two rape cases, an attempted rape case and a sexual assault case were opened in Kwazakele.
Captain Andre Beetge says this follows after an 11-year-old girl was admitted to Dora Nginza Hospital on Monday.
On Wednesday she admitted to doctors that she had been raped.
Beetge says that through the hospital social worker the police were notified and a rape case was opened.
The victim not only named the suspect but also mentioned another girl who was allegedly raped by him.
A speedy investigation followed and three more children came forward.
All four victims, aged between 9 and 12, stay in the same street in Kwazakele and regularly played together.
Beetge says the 26-year-old suspect, who also lives in the same street, have reportedly been luring children to his house since 2017 by offering to buy them chips and candy.
Police urged parents of possible victims to come forward.
