Police in Cambridge in East London have arrested 4 suspects who are allegedly involved in a fraud syndicate conning furniture stores in the city.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi says the men, aged between 22 and 39, had allegedly conned a businessman out of furniture valued at R30 000.
Police recovered goods which included lounge suites and television sets .
Mbi says they believe they've broken the back of a fraud syndicate because several cases with a similar modus operandi were reported to the police.
He says the suspects will appear in the East London magistrate's court soon.
