The man arrested in connection with the murder of 43 year-old Cradock teacher Theresa Buys made a brief appearance in the town's magistrate's court on Monday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stephanie Smith, says Marius Isaacs was denied bail and his case was postponed to the 17th of September for further investigation.
Buys disappeared on the 4th of August and her car was later found near the Michausdal township.
Isaacs was arrested after an intensive investigation and reportedly claimed that he had thrown Buys' body into the Fish River.
