Alleged intruder shot dead by Hankey farmer

Police in Hankey are investigating a case of murder after an alleged attacker was shot and killed by a farmer on Wednesday.

Spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli confirmed that a case of murder was under investigation.

He says police were summoned to a farm on the R330 in Hankey at about 9. 45 pm where they found the body of an unknown man.

The circumstances surrounding the incident will form part of the investigation.

No arrests have been made.
