Detectives from Motherwell in Gqeberha arrested a 21-year-old suspect for his alleged involvement in several house robberies in the area.
Police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says during the arrest, police confiscated three plasma television sets, cash, 15 cellphones and clothing.
She urged victims of recent house robberies in Motherwell to come forward to possibly identify their stolen goods.
Captain Swart says police also confiscated a bulletproof vest and found a 9mm Norinco pistol hidden inside a cement brick.
The suspect will appear in the Motherwell Magistrates Court on Thursday and Captain Swart says more arrests are imminent.
