Two men, aged 18 and 19, will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Monday on a charge of attempted murder.
This relates to the wounding of an eight-year-old boy who was caught in the crossfire between rival gangs in Helenvale earlier this month.
The boy was wounded in the chest in the shoot-out on the corner of Pienaar and Ambraal Streets.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the two suspects were arrested on Friday.
It's expected that the case against them will be remanded for a formal bail application.
