An alleged fraudster from Kariega is out on bail of R300 following his arrest earlier this week on charges ranging from fraud to forgery and uttering.
Police Captain Gerda Swart says 38-year-old Mzoxolo Zenani appeared in the Kwanobuhle Magistrates court on Thursday for allegedly manufacturing and supplying fake documents at affordable prices.
She says Zenani allegedly makes False ID documents, Matric certificates and motor vehicle license disks.
Captain Swart says they received a tip from a reliable source who said that these documents could easily be obtained from the suspect with no questions asked.
Police raided his premises on Thursday and confiscated various hard drives, phones and stacks of documents believed to be forged.
The State suspects that he has been running his illegal operation since 2019.
Zenani will be back in court on the 14th of April and the investigation continues.
