Eastern Cape police have arrested a 26-year-old man following a robbery at the Maclear Post Office this week.
Provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci, says he was arrested on Wednesday.
A second suspect died in a shootout with police on Tuesday after they stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the Post Office.
Police also seized a Ford Ranger bakkie used in the robbery as well as R4 rifle and two magazines were recovered.
Soci says the suspect, who is believed to be a Post Office employee, is also believed to be related to the deceased.
The relationship between the suspect and the deceased will be established through the investigation.
He is due to appear in court on Friday on a charge of business robbery.
