Aliwal North police have arrested a 51-year-old suspect for dealing in drugs.
Spokesperson, Captain Ursula Roelofse says members of the K9-unit were performing crime prevention duties on Saturday when they received information of a drug dealer in Hilton.
She says the identified house in Schalk Street was searched and members found various drugs hidden in a speaker and pillowcases in two bedrooms.
Police confiscated 146 mandrax tablets, 20 bags of tik to the value of R16 000 as well as R9 353 in cash.
The suspect will appear in the Aliwal North Magistrate's Court on Monday.
