Three men arrested for the murder of two policemen in Tsomo in Transkei last year, are applying for bail in the town's magistrate's court on Wednesday.
Provincial police spokesperson, captain Ernest Sigobe, says they intend to oppose the bail application.
Taxi operators, Zwelethini Gwebelele, Mawande Nkomo and Masiphembe Mpashe, were arrested on the 19th of December.
A fire-arm stolen from one of the murdered police constables was found in the posession of the men.
The two off-duty policemen were gunned down while responding to a house-breaking call.
