Alice man stabbed to death

Eastern Cape police have opened a case of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 30-year-old man in Alice.

Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana says it is alleged that the deceased was walking with his friends in High street on Saturday morning when he was stabbed with a knife in the upper body by an unidentified person.

He says the seriously injured man was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

No arrests have yet been made.
