An angry mob has torched two Algoa Buses in the Westville informal settlement in Kwadwesi, in Port Elizabeth.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, says both vehicles were found parked near each other in Mission Road, at about 5.30 am on Monday.
According to the drivers who were en route to collect passengers, an unknown number of people blocked the street and demanded that they exit the buses.
Beetge says they told the operators to leave the scene before setting both vehicles alight.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of those involved is urged to contact the Kwadwesi Police Station.
