Algoa Bus Company says its buses will be back on the roads on Monday, bringing an end to a strike which has lasted more than a month.
At a news briefing at the company's premises in Port Elizabeth today, it came to light that an agreement was reached with the three striking unions on six of the eight issues.
This comes after several closed meetings between the parties over the past few weeks.
The striking workers have tabled a range of demands relating to their conditions of employment, including flexible shifts for shop stewards, funeral bus services available to employees and sanctions against drivers who are short on their ticket fares.
The two outstanding issues will be discussed as a matter of urgency, but no time frame was given.
