Protesters in Kwadwesi in Port Elizabeth have torched an Algoa Bus and a bakkie on Wednesday morning.
Police Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the incident happened in New Mission road in Westville.
A group of about 100 angry residents blocked the road at about 5 am with burning tyres and set the two vehicles alight.
Beetge says the protests is believed to be related to a municipal issue.
Public order police dispersed the crowd after they continued burning tyres. Police cleared the road of debris and re-opened it just before 10 am.
