Police in Port Elizabeth is looking for the mother of a newborn baby who was found dead in a dumping site in Missionvale on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says two boys who were playing in the dump in Limpopo Street, discovered the baby boy.
She says it is alleged that the baby was wrapped in a black bag with the umbilical cord still attached.
Police suspect that the child was born on Tuesday.
The case is being investigated by Algoa Park SAPS.
