Albertinia man appears in court on charges of rape

A man from Albertinia is appearing in the Riversdale Magistrate Court on Friday on charges of rape after he was caught inside the home of his 63- year old victim.

Correspondent Louise Karsten reports:

The Mossel Bay Family Violence and Child Protection Unit arrested a 41 year old man in July 2014 after the victim's husband arrived home and saw the suspect that was still only partially clothed in one of the rooms.

Police members arrested the suspect inside the victim's home.

The victim has since testified in court and the man remains in custody.
