A 53-year-old man charged with the murders of two little girls has abandoned his bid for bail in the Albertinia Magistrate's Court in the Western Cape.
Timothy Ova made another court appearance on Thursday following his arrest last week for the murder of nine-year-old Jacorine Vaaltyn and 10-year-old Sharon Arries.
Their bodies were discovered in Ova's backyard dwelling in Fiskaal Street in Albertinia last Thursday.
A post-mortem confirmed that the girls had been suffocated.
The case against Ova was postponed to 3 November and will continue in the Circuit High Court.
