The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency says its sponsorship of the Africa Open Golf Challenge in East London has brought media exposure valued at more than R150m.
The Agency says its R9m investment earned the Agency and the Eastern Cape province news coverage, delayed coverage, and highlights packages which were screened in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency CEO, Sybert Liebenberg, says the Africa Open forms part of the Tourism Agency's drive to promote the province globally and create a greater awareness of the Eastern Cape as a premier sporting destination.
