Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Zanoxolo Wayile says ticket sales for the Orange African Cup of Nations football tournament are going well.
Wayile was at the Port Elizabeth airport on Thursday to welcome the Ghanaian soccer team.
He told journalists that ticket sales had improved.
Mayor Wayile says he's confident that the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium will be packed to capacity for the opening games on Sunday.
"The ticket sales are going very well. The latest statistics (as of Wednesday night) it was close to 21 000. I am of the view that the next few days will go flat out. So, I'm very confident that that stadium will be packed to capacity," he said.
Giving his tournament prediction, Wayile said the final will be contested between Bafana Bafana and Ghana.
