ActionSA President, Herman Mashaba, will be leading several party activities in the Eastern Cape in the build-up to the official launch of the party’s Provincial Structures this weekend.
Mashaba and Eastern Cape chairperson, Athol Trollip, will begin a series of engagements in Nelson Mandela Bay on Thursday, visiting the Kwanobuhle police station in Kariega, before going on a “door-to-door” blitz in Ward 43.
The party will be contesting its first by-election outside of Gauteng when their candidate, Thandazwa Cholani, bids for the seat left vacant by the murder of ANC councillor, Andile Andries and branch secretary, Lubabalo Keso last month.
The ActionSA leaders will then move to Buffalo City on Friday where they will visit a soup kitchen in Duncan Village, an area the party described as a “twilight zone of poverty and misery.”
On Saturday, Mashaba will officially launch ActionSA’s “presence and political offensive aimed at the 2024 National and Provincial Government Elections in the Eastern Cape” at the Premier Hotel ICC Auditorium.
