A Port Elizabeth man, Loyiso Mjiyako, has been denied bail in the city's magistrate's court for the brutal gang related murder of alleged rival, Morne' Jacobs.
The state alleges that Jacobs was killed in Kleinskool in March by Mjiyako along with co-accused, Gurshwin Peterson and Randy Malgas.
The pair have since abandoned their bail applications.
In denying bail on Tuesday, magistrate Abigail Beaton said that she had never come across such brutality where the eyes of a person had been gouged out in order to send a message to the community.
The case was postponed to the 7th August for further investigation.
