Port Elizabeth police are looking for at least two suspects - one sporting Rasta dreadlocks - who shot and killed a 30 year old man in Parliament Street, Central at around 5am Sunday morning.
Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says the deceased was driving in his car when he became involved in an argument with the driver of a black Nissan Tiida.
The occupants of the Tiida then used pepper spray on the man and drove off.
Labans says a short while later, the two parties encountered each other again and the argument continued. He says it was then that a man pulled out a firearm - walked up to the 30 year-old and shot him once in the head. He died at the scene.
Labans says police are also looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed to death with a screw driver.
The victim was stabbed in the neck and died at the scene in Missionvale.
Meanwhile: Labans says gang-related killings continued unabated in Port Elizabeth's Northern Areas this weekend.
A 23 year-old man was shot dead in Kudu Street in Gelvandale at around 3am Sunday morning after a quarrel with two known gangsters who are still at large.
In a deadly shooting on Saturday, also suspected to be gang-related, 27 year-old Remano Esterhuizen was killed in Harmony Street in Kleinskool.
He was shot in the chest, head and stomach, and died at the scene.
Warrant officer Labans says a 47 year-old female police captain, attached to the special task unit investigating the gang wars in the northern areas was shot and wounded while chasing 3 known gangsters in Helenvale earlier on Sunday.
One of the suspects turned around as he was being pursued and started shooting at the police, hitting the officer in her left arm.
Police have opened an attempted murder docket and are looking for the shooters.
