Port Elizabeth police have arrested 7 men, believed to be part of a syndicate which allegedly was involved in a spate of house robberies in the city's Western suburbs.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says a 40 year old woman and six men in their twenties were arrested on Tuesday.
She says police are still searching for suspected stolen property in Sherwood at a dam, where scuba divers already have recovered various items - including a plasma tv and a safe.
Janse Van Rensburg says the arrests follow several house robberies in areas such as Sherwood, Kabega Park and Kragga Kamma.
Police also recovered an unlicensed firearm and jewelery
The suspects are due to appear in court on Thursday.
