King Williams Town police have arrested six people for allegedly being in posession of fake cigarettes.
Police spokesperson, captain Ernest Sigobe, says the police acted upon information received from a community member about a suspicious truck parked in a yard in King William's Town.
He says when police arrived they found five Indian nationals and a South African offloading boxes of fake cigarettes.
Sigobe says police confiscated 116 boxes, worth an estimated 460-thousand rand.
He says the suspects will appear in court on Monday.
