East London police have arrested 21 suspects for various crimes during a weekend crime prevention operation in Mdantsane.
Lt. Nkosikho Mzuku says they were arrested for crimes, ranging from Possession of Mandrax ,Drunken Driving, Business Robbery, House Robbery, Assault and theft.
Mzuku says large volumes of liquor were confiscated in illegal sheebens and owners were charged for dealing in liquor without a valid liquor licence.
All the suspects, aged between 19 and 58, will appear in court on Monday.
