Police in Lusikisiki are searching for a suspect who allegedly beat his 35-year old wife to death last year, and since then repeatedly raped his 18-year old daughter.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mduduzi Godlwana says both incidents were never reported to the police.
He says it is alleged that the crimes date back to 2012 but it was only reported this week.
The story came to light after a reliable source informed the police about the incidents.
The suspect allegedly beat his wife to death on the 2nd of December 2012 and 16 days later assaulted his 18 year old daughter while she was tied to the roof of their rondavel with a rope.
Police are investigating cases of murder, rape and assault.
