The Hawks have arrested 15 SA Police Service employees on charges of corruption and theft.
Hawks spokesperson, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi, says the 15 comprise of mechanics, artisans, cleaners and general workers.
He says its alleged that they had been stripping mechanical and body parts from police vehicles and selling them to willing members of the public.
The suspects, aged between 33 and 52, even sold brand new vehicle parts to pre-arranged buyers.
Three of the suspects were arrested in Queenstown, three in Forest Hill, PE, four in Mthatha and five in Bhisho.
Mulaudzi says they will all appear in various courts across the Eastern Cape on Wednesday.
