125 people killed on EC roads since beginning of December

The Eastern Cape Department of Transport says by the end of the last weekend before Christmas, no less than 125 people were killed on the province's roads since the beginning of December.

Department spokesperson, Unathi Binqose says it is worrying that pedestrians topped the list of fatalities.

He says 49 pedestrians, 29 drivers and 47 passengers have been killed in road accidents in the Eastern Cape.
