St Francis Bay police are holding an eleven-year old boy in a place of safety following the death of a six-year old boy, Decan Anoster.
His body was found in the early hours of Tuesday morning after he was reported missing on Monday night.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Basil Seekoei, says he had a stab wound to the neck.
He says several boys were questioned earlier today in connection with the alleged murder but later released.
Seekoei says the juvenile is being detained in a place of safety.
